I was always fascinated by time. It is one of the most mutable things in the world, but photography made me feel it can be secure, in memory. What are your memories? What do you choose to keep, to lose, and to change?
I choose to draw images with ink as I have always admired freehand ink drawings. They always had a special feel to them, almost magical.
I want the images I create to show certain unique moments in time.
I work from photographs and memories to try and record moments in time that are fuller than a photograph, but still of a moment that I cannot achieve in the detail needed on location.
